Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - New York Islanders defenseman Jack Hillen left Tuesday's game against the Washington Capitals after getting struck in the face by a shot from Alexander Ovechkin. Late in the first period, Ovechkin wound up for a shot in the high slot and it hit Hillen in the chin. Hillen dropped to the ice and was tended to by staff for several minutes. A stretcher was brought onto the ice, but Hillen walked off with assistance.
